Purpose-molded for the Taurus Raging Hunter with 5" barrel, this Outside-the-Waistband (OWB) holster is crafted from top-tier, full-grain steerhide in a timeless Tan finish.
The defining feature of the DAO is its dual belt loop arrangement, allowing you to wear the holster either in a conventional strongside vertical orientation or as a crossdraw rig. Crossdraw positioning is especially advantageous when seated in an ATV, tree stand, or truck cab, keeping long-barreled revolvers accessible without interfering with waist belts or hunting packs.
For retention in thick brush, the holster uses a heavy-duty snap strap fitted with an oversized, textured polymer tab. This tab allows quick, intuitive unsnapping even when wearing heavy winter or work gloves. An integrated brass tension adjustment screw lets you fine-tune the friction draw to your exact preference.
