Rubber Grip 617/445/450

I bought this to replace the large "Ribber" Grip that came with my Taurus 450 revolver. It fits my hand much better and fit onto the revolver just fine except no grip screw came with it, so I used the grip screw that was formerly on the thicker "Ribber" grip, which now is not flush with the bottom of the new grip, but protrudes about 3/8 of an inch below the butt of the grip. I've searched the web to find a shorter replacement grip screw, but cannot find any.
