Although designed to help with wider high cap magazines, there is also a groove inside the mag well, front and rear, to align a 1911 style magazine. This superthumb is a necessity if you enjoy a day at the range
I do a lot of competitive shooting with my friends .We spend hours plinking ,and target shooting and we go through 250-300 rds. I couldn't enjoy my range time without my superthumb speed loader ! It takes the pain out of range day ! Great product!
