Necessary Replacement After About 5,000 Rounds
The TX22 is insanely reliable & eats almost any kind of .22 ammo out there. It’s perfect for plinking, as well as a cost -effective way to improve pistol fundamentals, marksmanship, training & range drills. It won’t take long before you’ve put 4,000-5,000 rounds through it, & after that you may start to have the occasional malfunction (especially the slide locking back on a loaded magazine) due to a worn out recoil spring. This is true for all semi-auto pistols but in the case of the TX22, mine started wearing out around the 5,000 round mark— that’s with regular cleaning & lubrication after every 500 rounds or so. At only $10 each, I would recommend buying a couple of these replacement recoil springs to keep your TX22 up & running long-term. Be safe, keep training, & enjoy your TX22! It’s a great gun!
