TaurusTX™ 22 Competition Slide Cerakote Troy Coyote Tan

I bought this slide to replace the one I bought last year. I like the competition slide set up because it mounts the dot sight to the barrel instead of the slide, which promotes reliable functioning which I did not have when I mounted a sight on the slide. As with other Taurus pistols I have had the roll pins are problematic. The one that holds the breach block in place sheared on the inside on both sides and broke casting stops on the slide to the rear of the block. I bought this current FDE one to replace it because it was the only one Taurus had in stock. It shipped quickly and seems sound. I put a tremendous amount of rounds through the previous one. That one was as accurate as a laser beam. Hitting 6" and 4" plates offhand at 50 yards is only a minor challenge. It can be a little ammo finicky but no more than any other 22lr auto I have used. Check the breach pin and replace when it shows wear. Lakeline sells stainless ones. It's a solid piece of gear. For the casual shooter it will last a long time. For a serious practitioner it's the best value going in the current market. I highly recommend it. Get one...or two.
