Ameriglo Front Orange Night Sight Small Frame Revolvers

I bought this for my 856 ULCH. Arrived in good condition. Was reasonably easy to install. A 1/16” punch is too big so I bought a SIM card punch which worked ok-ish. Someone said a 1.5 mm works better though I’ve not tried it. My issue and the reason for 4 stars and not five is that the glow dot is so low in the sight that it is not visible when sighting. Someone suggested that perhaps it was made to work with a 3” or longer barrel. I don’t know if this is true, but if so it would be great if Taurus could note this in the item description.

This sight is alot better than. the standard black one. My older eyes can pick it up alot quicker!

With my old eyes the front black sight was not visible, the new with orange with the tritium insert was great!

Easy install but I had to file down my smallest punch a bit

Excellent fitment using proper punch set & Greatly improved sight visibility A+ rating. 10-15 minute install time. Best to not drive roll pin all the way out, drive a little at a time until you can pluck the front sight out.then slide in new sight and reinstall the punch (on the side you started driving the pin out) to align new sight with the roll pin hole. then with the plastic hammer drive pin back in driving punch out as you go. smooth install

Much easier to aquire target. This sight should have come standard on my 856 executive 38 special from the factory

The replacement front sight from Ameriglo is a major upgrade from the factory front sight. It is much easier to see in low light and well worth the money.
